A cardschat forum post quoting what looks like inside information, suggests that WSOP may launch its real money poker site as early as tomorrow.
The WSOP events kick off from the 29th and it would make great commercial timing if WSOP could launch its Nevada regulated site in time for the avalanche of poker interest about to descend on the state.
WSOP owner Caesars Entertainment has a partnership with 888 Holdings plc for real money poker in Nevada. They already have a play money site open to US players which has been running since 2009 and for those allowed to access it, a real money site at WSOP.co.uk.
UPDATE:
Caesars’ Vice President, Corporate Communications Seth Palansky has quashed hopes that the rumor might be true on twitter.
