FTP Remission Questions Mount

A multitude of FTP balance remission issues are surfacing, with little to no guidance coming from the Garden City Group.

  • Over a thousand posts have now been made in the FTP Remission Issues thread on 2+2.
  • A wide range of issues have been reported including definitions of affiliates, dates of balances and the accuracy of balances following the chaos of FTP’s final days.
  • The GCG has not yet responded with definitive answers to many of the issues.
  • Deadline for Petition for Remission submission is Saturday, November 16, 2013.

Daniel Negreanu Again Rants Against “First Card” Rule

Over the weekend, outspoken professional poker player, and Team PokerStars Pro, Daniel Negreanu took to his well-watched video blog to, once again (and perhaps for the final time), state his position against the newly adopted “First Card Off The Deck” rule implemented by the Tournament Director’s Association (TDA).


PokerStars Slaps $10M Guarantee on PCA Main Event

The 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA), set to take place January 5-13, will now come with a $10M guarantee for it’s $10,000+$300 Main Event.

  • This is the first time in the history of the event that PokerStars has attached a guarantee to the Main Event.
  • The offer of a $10M guarantee matches that of the hugely successful Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open which was the first to offer the “unprecedented” payout amount for its main event last month.

Software Preview: Infiniti Poker Edges Towards Launch with Bitcoin Giveaway for Beta Testers

A pre-launch beta test promotion provides the chance for an early review of Infiniti Poker’s poker client.

  • Infiniti Poker is providing a bitcoin incentive to potential beta testers.
  • Six prizes are on offer for testers: the player with the highest account balance at the end of the period will receive 0.4 bitcoin, ranging to 0.05 bitcoin for the fifth highest.
  • A launch date of October 21 last year has been missed by almost twelve months and in the current promotion, much of the software has not yet been enabled, including the infinivision tables.
  • Game play at the table was quick with animations that worked smoothly without being distracting.
  • If CEO Michael Hajduk can get infinivision working well he may yet be able to carve out a profitable niche.
