Ausmus Wins, Seidel Denied At WSOPE
Half of the gold bracelets up for grabs at this year’s World Series of Poker Europe have now been awarded. With the Main Event on the horizon and multiple events coming to a conclusion in the next 24 hours, the WSOP’s time just outside of Paris is quickly winding down with the biggest events yet to come.
- Jeremy Ausmus took down Event #4, €1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha, for €70,324 and his first WSOP gold bracelet.
- In spite of a two-to-one chip lead, Eric Seidel lost out on a chance for his 9th bracelet to Roger Hairabediam in Event #5, €2,200 No Limit Hold’em.
Phil Hellmuth First To 100 WSOP Cashes
History was made on Thursday at the 7th Annual World Series of Poker Europe when 13-time WSOP bracelet winner, Phil Hellmuth, scored his 100th cash in a WSOP event. The “Poker Brat” survived the bubble in Event #5, a €2,200 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, to become the first player ever to hit triple digits in cashes.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has taken a minimalist approach to protecting player funds with its decision to forgo trust accounts and rely on simple account segregation.
