Witness List Released for US House of Representatives Hearing: “The State of Online Gaming”

Strong voices in favor and in opposition to online gambling should be balanced by some less partial testimony at the December 10 Hearing.

  • The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee of Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade has published the witness list for its hearing entitled “The State of Online Gaming” on December 10.
  • The pro-poker lobby is headed by John Pappas from the PPA, while the anti-online gambling witnesses include Andrew Abboud from the Las Vegas Sands, and Les Bernal,National Director of Stop Predatory Gambling.

EPT Prague First Event Set to be “Biggest Ever”

  • The Eureka main is the start of ten days of poker action at the Hilton Prague Hotel.
  • The Prague Poker Festival, hosted in the Card Casino on the other side of the city, is already in full swing, having gotten underway late last week.

Players to Get VIP Bump as Ladbrokes Transitions off MPN to iPoker on December 21

The move was originally announced in March after a five year deal was signed with Playtech plc. December 21 will see Ladbrokes finally move from MPN to the iPoker network, after announcing their intentions to do so earlier this year. Their casino operations will remain on a Microgaming platform until Spring next year.
