PokerStars Announces UKIPT Isle of Man Stop

PokerStars, the largest online poker site, announced today that, for the first time, the United Kingdom Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) would be making a stop at its corporate home on the Isle of Man. From October 30 through November 4, PokerStars will be hosting a poker festival that is capped off by a £1,100 buyin Main Event with a £500,000 guarantee.

  • PokerStars is planning an Open House, providing guided tours of the PokerStars facilities in Onchan as well as tours of the PokerStars massive server facility where every online hand is dealt.
  • Unique to this stop on the UKIPT is the ability for PokerStars employees to join in as they will be permitted to play any and all events on this stop, including the Main Event.
  • In addition to all the poker, PokerStars will also be hosting a job fair, showcasing all the opportunities for employment on the Isle of Man as well as other positions in the Rational Group's offices in Dublin and London.

Martin Finger Wins EPT £50k Super High Roller

Germany’s Martin Finger was crowned the champion of the European Poker Tour (EPT) £50k Super High Roller event on Sunday.

  • Finger bested the field of 57 entries (41 unique players, 16 re-entrys) for a payday of £821,000 ($1,321,317).
  • The victory puts Finger in elite company as being one of the only players to win both an EPT Main Event—he was victorious at EPT Prague back in 2011—as well as an EPT High Roller event.

A couple of poker’s premiere players claimed victory in various side events during the European Poker Tour (EPT) festival currently taking place in London.


Robbie Bull Victorious In UKIPT4 London Main Event

Scottish 21-year old poker player Robbie Bull took down the UKIPT4 London Main Event on Sunday taking home the trophy and the £113,405 first place cash prize.
