The Global Poker Index (GPI) has announced a deal with the Ante Up Poker Tour (AUPT) that will see GPI’s ranking formula used to award the points in the tour’s Player of the Year competition.

- The deal with GPI means that players in all formats will have the chance to earn points according to GPI’s ranking formula in the race to be the Ante Up Player of the Year.
- Ante Up is hoping that the change will encourage players to enter more events to have a better chance of winning.
- GPI is likely to announce similar partnerships as it expands its ranking system.
$82m in US Full Tilt Repayments “Weeks Away”
30,000 undisputed claims have been approved by the US Department of Justice.
- The US Department of Justice has approved $82 million dollars of undisputed player funds owed to ex-US players of Full Tilt Poker.
- Players with undisputed claims should be looking for an email from Garden City Group within the next few weeks with instructions on how to receive their payment.
- GCG set itself the deadline of March 31 for undisputed claims.

Holland Casino Sets Out Restructuring Plan
Another 150-200 jobs will go at the Netherlands monopoly casino provider. State licensed monopoly Holland Casino has submitted restructuring proposals that will see the loss of a further 150 to 200 jobs at its 14 casinos. The company has already shed a fifth of its headquarters staff after it was placed in a “special measures” program by the Netherlands government.

Svenska Spel: Three Months After Ending Bonuses
Taking bonuses away from the New Jersey-sized market appears to have made little impact on cash game traffic. At the beginning of October last year, Swedish monopoly online poker provider Svenska Spel announced that it was ending all bonus promotions because it had decided they contributed to the risk of problem gambling. Three months later the impact of the decision can be seen in its cash game traffic numbers.
