Check Your Spam Folders: FTP Remissions Emails Have All Been Sent

Players who are eligible to receive reclaimed Full Tilt Poker funds and have yet to receive and email from the Garden City Group (GCG) are being advised to check their spam folder.

  • if a player is certain that they did not receive an email, the GCG would like you to allow for “2-3 additional days” as they plan on attempting to re-send notices that have bounced back or otherwise may have not been delivered.
  • If a player previously registered on the GCG website but was not found to be an eligible participant, a separate email stating their status of ineligibility may have been sent as well.

Two Days Ahead of Official Launch, WSOP.com Real-Money Play Goes Live for Early Signups

The first cash game hands and tournaments get underway on Caesars Interactive’s real-money online poker site in Nevada.

  • Sixty-five players participated in the first freeroll.
  • Four players joined up for the first WSOP paid tournament—a $5.50 NLH game.
  • Earlier a 1c/2c NLH table got started, and at the time of writing, three players sit at a 10c/20c PLO game—enjoying the first ever regulated real money Omaha hands dealt in the United States.

WCOOP Continues To Crush Guarantees

By the end of the day, Pokerstars’ marquee event of the year—the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP)—will be at the half way mark and all signs point to it being a colossal success.

  • Thus far, all tournament guarantees have been met and exceeded.
  • Enthusiasm for the schedule and large player turnout have helped the online giant best its total guarantees by over $8.5M.
  • Eight of the tournaments guarantees were exceeded by $500k or more.
  • Through the first 30 events spanning ten days, PokerStars has accumulated approximately $1.5M in rake/tournament fees for the series alone.

Online Gamers Have Lowest Tolerance For Identity Checks

Research from Experian shows players give up after just 4 minutes waiting for their ID to be confirmed. A new study from Experian has found that online gamers are prepared to wait for less time than any other group while identity checks are carried out for online transactions. On average they will tolerate a wait time of four minutes.
