Welcome to the Christmas Eve edition of This Week in Poker Podcasts. For those of you looking to spend quality time with family and friends over the holiday season, I have a bit of bad news. You are going to fall behind on the “must listen” portion of your poker podcast list. On the other hand, those of you looking for a way to avoid personal interaction this holiday can strap on the ear buds and tune into some really great content.

Long-time poker podcaster Bernard Lee deserves recognition for his efforts to spread the holiday spirit. Lee provided holiday gift packages through his very own charity organization— The Full House Charity Program—to more than 50 children in need in the Lawrence, Massachusetts area. The Full House Charity Program provides a minimum of $20k a year to children’s organizations in the New England area.

The gift packages included a gift certificate to local restaurant, a cheddar sampler pack from Lead sponsor Cabot Cheese, winter clothing, a hat and gloves, books, toys, ball/game, art supplies, holiday sweets, a stuffed animal and a Cabot Cheese children’s fun pack.

This week, The Bernard Lee Poker Show welcomes the new commentator for the Heartland Poker tour, Maria Ho. He also dives into the mailbag and answers questions from his listeners including, “What was the biggest accomplishment of a poker player in 2012?”
