The WPT Championship Challenge wraps up this weekend on ClubWPT, the subscription-based sweepstakes online poker platform that gives players a shot at real money prizes and seats into live World Poker Tour events.

Because of its sweepstakes-based model, ClubWPT is available in most US states, making it a great option for poker fans in places where traditional online poker isn’t regulated.

The final two WPT Championship Challenge freerolls take place this weekend for Diamond and VIP members:

  • Saturday, October 11 — Diamond Tier
  • Sunday, October 12 — VIP & Diamond Tiers

These tournaments mark the end of a six-month series of monthly freerolls that began in May. Each freeroll awards 25 seats to the online finale on Sunday, November 2, 2025, a limited 300-player event where the top five finishers will each win a $12,000 WPT Passport package to the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December.

The WPT World Championship is the crown jewel of the World Poker Tour — the final stop on the annual WPT circuit. The 2025 Main Event features a $10,400 buy-in and aims to surpass the massive turnout from 2024, when 2,392 players competed for a $23 million prize pool.

“The WPT World Championship is a true celebration of poker, and Wynn Las Vegas has proven to be the ultimate stage,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “This event has become one of the most anticipated tournaments in the world, and we look forward to welcoming players to compete for life-changing sums and their chance to make history.”

Meanwhile, ClubWPT’s sister site, ClubWPT Gold (CWG), has undergone a major transformation. Formerly a dual-currency sweepstakes platform, it has pivoted to focus on training and player development, introducing new Hand Analysis Coins and GTO training tools in response to evolving regulations in states like California. Whether this will pass muster remains to be seen.

CWG is also giving away packages to the WPT Championship via a three step online satellite path.

The online finale for the WPT Championship Challenge takes place Sunday, November 2, 2025, and the WPT World Championship runs December 13 — 21, 2025, at Wynn Las Vegas.

If you’re a Diamond or VIP member, this weekend is your final shot to qualify for one of the most exciting poker events of the year, don’t miss your chance to win your way to Las Vegas!
