Sweepstakes online poker site Clubs Poker recently concluded its first-ever Championship series, and the series performed quite well.

The Clubs Poker Championship (CPC) marked the operator’s most ambitious tournament series to date. The series ran from November 9 to 29 with a packed schedule of 66 Sweeps Coins (SC) tournaments and over 140,000 SC in guaranteed prize pool.

Ultimately, after three weeks of action, the series surpassed its overall guarantees by over 75% and attracted over 20,000 entries.

For those unfamiliar with Clubs Poker, the platform operates similarly to Global Poker, offering two virtual currencies: Gold Coins, intended solely for entertainment and not redeemable for real money, and Sweeps Coins, which can be exchanged for real cash prizes. Each Sweeps Coin (SC) can be redeemed for cash at a rate of $1 per SC. This sweepstakes model allows Clubs Poker to be accessible in the majority of the US states.

Returning to the series, the performance was exceptional, with most tournaments exceeding their guarantees and only a few falling short. Featuring 141,564 SC in guaranteed prizes across 66 events, the series ultimately awarded over 250,000 SC, even though most buy-ins remained very affordable, ranging from 0.55 SC with no event exceeding 33 SC. The series attracted over 20,000 total entries.

Of the 66 events, eight were designated as Championship events, meaning winners of these tournaments earned a trophy in addition to the cash prize.

The Main Event of the series, offering 10,000 SC guaranteed prize money for a buy-in of SC, drew 740 entries and generated close to 15,000 SC in prize pool. The tournament was ultimately won by a player with the screen name “chriski,” who won 2,036 SC and became the first-ever CPC Main Event Champion.

Apart from “chriski,” multiple players delivered strong performances throughout the series. At least eight players captured more than one CPC title, six of whom won two CPC events, while one player with the screenname “MoltenAshes” won three CPC victories, and another player with the screenname “zopilote” secured four CPC titles. Appropriately, “zopilote” won the CPC leaderboard contest, earning 1,000 SC in additional prize money.

Overall, the leaderboard contest distributed 10,000 SC in the prize pool across the top 100 finishers. Every winner across the 66 events also received an exclusive CPC Winner Avatar as a permanent badge of honor.

While Clubs Poker has hosted several smaller festival-style series in the past, the CPC stands out as its largest and most prestigious event to date. It is also the operator’s eighth tournament series overall and “the largest in Clubs Poker history by all relevant measures.”

The operator has previously run festivals such as Colossal Week, the Omaha National Championship, Club Madness, Bounty Brawl, and even a dedicated Stud-focused series. For instance, the first-ever series on Clubs Poker paid out nearly 60,000 SC. Since then, it has grown by over four times.

Although the CPC has concluded, the action on Clubs Poker continues nonstop. The operator offers a wide variety of events not only in No-Limit Hold’em but also in Mixed Games and Draw formats, including 8-Game, HORSE, Badugi, and 2-7 Single Draw. It remains the only sweepstakes poker operator to provide such a broad game selection.

In terms of tournaments, players can take part in events like the Nightly 22 with four-figure guarantees and even tournaments priced at 0.55 SC with solid guarantees. The schedule includes a wide mix of formats such as PKOs, mystery bounty events, re-entries, and more.

Keep an eye out for another tournament series, as the site never falls short in offering fresh series.
