Turning Tables on Bad Beat Stories
Bad beats are a part of poker, and they are one of the things most players hate the most. However, with a bad beat jackpot in place, losing with your monster hands is no longer a bad thing. In fact, it’s exactly what you want to happen.
To trigger the BBJ at Stake.us Poker, there are a few things that need to happen:
- A player needs to lose with AAAJJ (Aces Full of Jacks) or better in Hold’em or 2222x (Quad Deuces) or better in Omaha
- For four-of-a-kind hands, hands must contain a pocket pair to qualify
- Hands must reach the showdown
- Both players must use two of their hole cards
- Only players who are dealt cards at the start of the hand qualify for the jackpot (no sit-outs)
- When the board is run more than once, only the first run counts for the bad beat jackpot
Once all these conditions are satisfied and the jackpot payout is triggered, all participants in the hand are paid as follows:
- 8% of the total pool goes to the hand loser
- 5% goes to the pot winner
- 3% is distributed to other qualifying players
As mentioned, each stake has its own jackpot amount, which represents a percentage of the overall pool, shared between all Hold’em and Omaha games.
Stakes | BBJ Percentage |
---|---|
SC 2.5/5 | 56.67% |
SC 1/2 | 22.67% |
SC 0.50/1 | 11.33% |
SC 0.25/0.50 | 5.66% |
SC 0.10/0.20 | 2.27% |
SC 0.05/0.10 | 1.13% |
SC 0.01/0.02 | 0.22% |
All prizes are awarded immediately after the hand is completed. Players must remain in their seats until the jackpot is actually triggered to qualify.
PLO 5 Tables Coming Soon to Stake.us Poker
The bump to bad beat jackpot isn’t the only exciting thing happening at Stake.us Poker. The operator is working on implementing PLO 5 games, and these should become available in the near future.
The five-card version of the second most-popular poker variation is in high demand with players who love action, and it is no secret that these player types make up a majority on Stake.us.
Once these games are live, it’s safe to assume they’ll be included in the BBJ promo as well, presumably with a slightly higher threshold for qualifying hands compared to classic PLO.
Head over to Stake.us Poker US right now to sign up and join the fun. Between loose action and juicy promotions, there is a lot of value just waiting to be picked up!
