There are some big changes coming to Octopi Poker that you should be aware of, whether you’ve already used this poker training platform in the past or are considering signing up.
In case you are just hearing the name for the first time, Octopi Poker is a fairly fresh training platform that caters to players of different skill levels. It offers a powerful poker solver, a user-friendly hand trainer, and The Vault, which lets you play through actual tournament hands played by some of the biggest names in the industry.
The team behind the Octopi platform works constantly to add new features and keep the site fresh, unique, and different. And in October, they’ll be rolling out some big changes and improvements.
Introducing My First Solver Course
One of the biggest developments on Octopi Poker is the new course set to go live on October 1. The course is named My First Solver and it was created in collaboration with Victoria Livschitz, CEO of Octopi Poker, and Matt Hunt, an experienced tournament player and poker coach.
As the name suggests, the course is designed for players new to the GTO world, easing them into the world of poker solvers. It also offers a comprehensive introduction to the Octopi platform, helping all members get the best value out of their membership.
The course is an excellent option for anyone looking to get started with solvers and get over the usual beginners’ hurdles. It can be purchased separately, and it is also included in all annual subscription plans (Personal and Pro).

Adding Guided Study to the Mix
Another major improvement to Octopi Poker is the introduction of Guided Study for all Professional members.
With Guided Study rolling out, all Pro members will receive one exclusive live lecture with Matt Hunt every week. Each lecture will focus on a particular area of tournament poker. Lecture topics will cover everything from specific strategy concepts, to themes that have been in focus during the month, to areas where Matt sees players consistently making mistakes.
Naturally, lessons will be recorded, so those who aren’t able to attend them in person can watch them later on.
On top of this, Professional members will also start receiving Punt of the Day on a weekly basis. This will be Sam Greenwood’s column written exclusively for Octopi Poker, giving everyone another chance to work through some more real tournament decisions and understand how one of the world’s best tournament players thinks about them.
Prices Are Going Up
While there are some great improvements coming to Octopi Poker, it is also worth noting that membership prices are going up as well. Starting October 1, a Pro membership will cost you $75/month or $750 for yearly access.
The other two options are Personal, which comes at $25/month or $200 per year, and Mentorship. The Mentorship program is still being developed, but it will come at a price of $300/month, providing a personalized improvement plan and access to a private poker mentor.
With your Octopi Poker membership, you’re also getting access to features such as:
- Leak analytics, which now shows you your mistakes directly inside the trainer
- Train Everywhere, a feature that allows you to turn any spot into a trainable scenario
- Compare Strategies, Aggregate Reports, and The Vault
Whether Octopi Poker is the right training site for you or not is up to you to decide. We try to keep you up to date about all important developments across the best options out there and help you make that choice.
