A grand total of 845 entries were made in last week’s events, a slight downtick from last week’s 892, and they produced an overlay of 7,320 SC, slightly less than last week’s 7,450 SC. dFbuzzbeater Goes Back-to-Back
It’s been an incredible couple of weeks for dfbuzzbeater, a Clubs Poker player who completely dominated the No Fee Daily Mix events and won two back-to-back Player of the Week titles.
After winning the previous week’s leaderboard with 1461 points, dfbuzzbeater took things to the next level and won an incredible 1590.5 points coming from a single win and two runner-up finishes, along with eight more cashes in other events.
The champion’s run was built largely on consistency, as he cashed in 11 of the 15 available events, crushing across different game formats and buy-in levels and playing in all the available events.
His performance allowed him to win the Player of the Week by a margin of more than 400 points, which was an unmatched winning margin in the No Fee Daily Mix so far. He took home an extra 200 SC and another unique Chip Protector, but more importantly, he ensured that his name remains at the top of the No Fee Daily Mix all-time money list.
It took only five weeks for us to see the first repeat winner of the Player of the Week title in dfbuzzbeater, while his closest rivals demonstrated their skills and made serious runs at the title themselves.
HiRayItsMe and punk4life Make Serious Title Runs
There was no beating dfbuzzbeater for the Player of the Week title this time around, as his incredible 11 cashes were too much for any other player to reasonably overtake.
Yet, a few other players made serious runs of their own. HiRayItsMe came in second in the weekly race despite not winning any events. Instead, he came second in three different events, including his loss to the eventual champion in the 10 SC Draw Mix early in the week. These scores gave him a total of 1190.5 points, good for second place and 100 SC in extra credit.
Third place on the weekly leaderboard went to punk4life, who beat dfbuzzbeater in Friday’s 10 SC Big Bet Mix and came second in Wednesday’s Triple Stud, but didn’t have as consistent a run as his opponents. In total, he won 869.5 points, good enough for third place and 50 SC in credits.
While dfbuzzbeater remains the series’ biggest winner with over 10,000 SC in winnings, it’s MonaLisaVito who leads the leaderboard for most events won with five, with the most recent coming from last week’s 50 SC Draw Mix.
No Fee Action Continues This Week with a New Mix in Rotation
The No Fee Daily Mix has been a great success thus far, and Clubs Poker has continued running it despite having to consistently pay out overlay in nearly every single event.
This week’s Daily Mix events are already underway, and a major change will be introduced on Saturday, when the TORSE format will continue running instead of 8-Game.
Clubs Poker introduced TORSE instead of 8-Game with minimal ceremony last week, and it appears that TORSE events will remain on the schedule for the coming weeks. For those unfamiliar with this mix, TORSE includes 2-7 Triple Draw, Omaha 8, Razz, Seven Card Stud, and Stud 8, eliminating games like NLH or PLO from the mix.
With TORSE events now on the schedule, the No Fee Daily Mix should appeal even more to the mixed game poker community, which generally prefers to stay as far away from no limit games as possible.
