iGaming North America: Must See Speakers

The iGaming North America conference is taking place in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino from April 5 – 7, and there will be a plethora of great speakers presenting on topics such as PokerStars entry into the US market, emerging igaming jurisdictions, the development of skill gaming and much more.

On top of all of the great information that will be presented, there will also be some great speakers that, no matter what the topic is, will capture the attention of the audience.

While this article by no means is intended to slight anyone, three speakers were chosen that are experienced and interesting speakers that you should try to make a point to see.

Joe Asher, CEO, William Hill US

Joe Asher took over as CEO of William Hill US in 2012, after the company acquired Brandywine Bookmaking, a company Asher started in 2008.

Asher worked his way through the racing industry with management positions at several racetracks through the Northeast including Brandywine Raceway, Dover Downs, Harrington Raceway and Foxboro Raceway. He also became the youngest track announcer in North America calling races at Harrington, Foxboro, Brandywine and Dover Downs.

In addition, Asher has a law degree the from the Delaware Law School of Widener University, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Asher has the knowledge of the industry, a law background and the public speaking experience that will make for a must-see session.

Joe Asher will be a panelist for the Power Session: DFS 2.0 which takes place on April 7 at 11:15 in Celebrity Ballroom 4.

John English, President, WEBE Gaming LLC

A well-established entrepreneur in the online gaming space, John English has worked in the gaming industry for more than 30 years including a recent stint as an equity partner at American Wagering Inc. (AWI) whose mobile sports betting app became the first in the US to be available via the Apple store.

English’s experience in the regulated igaming sector has taken him all over the globe where he has developed a charismatic speaking style that is sure to hold the audience’s attention.

John English will moderate a panel in the Up-Close: Virtual Reality Meets iGaming session April 6 at 9:00 am in Celebrity Ballroom 4.

Victor Salerno, President, US Fantasy

Vic Salerno is the former Chairman of William Hill US and a 2015 inductee of the American Gaming Association Gaming Hall of Fame.

His company US Fantasy was the first in Nevada to apply for “a pari-mutuel sports operator license to offer B-2-B daily fantasy pari-mutuel sports content to Nevada casinos, as well as to other pari-mutuel states that compact with Nevada to wager into the USF DFS pari-mutuel pools.”

Salerno’s no holds barred speaking style makes him a must-see.
