EPT to Host 100th Event in Barcelona

The 100th event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) will take place next month in Barcelona, Spain, and will include 44 live poker tournaments including the €5,300 EPT Main Event.

To celebrate the milestone, the EPT is awarding a wide range of freeroll prizes for those in attendance.

Special events will incorporate non-poker competitions with Team PokerStars Pro members, with prizes ranging from free speedboat and jet ski rides, trips, Skullcandy headphones, iPad minis, and EPT side event tournament seats.

Additional activities include bicycle tours of Barcelona as well as Instagram and Best EPT Video Clip competitions.

Last year’s Main Event in Barcelona drew a field of 1,234 players who competed for a prize pool of €5,984,900. Tom Middleton won the €5,300 buy-in event for €924,000.

The European Poker Tour, sponsored by PokerStars, is currently in its 11th season, and is recognized by many as the premier live poker tournament series worldwide.

Stops include Barcelona, London, Prague, the Bahamas, Deauville, and Monte Carlo.

EPT 11 Barcelona kicks off on August 16 and will run through August 27.
