The world’s most popular online poker tournament, PokerStars Sunday Million, is celebrating its 17th anniversary this year, and the traditional celebratory Anniversary Sunday Million is upon us.
The iconic event will kick off this Sunday, March 26, at 6 PM GMT on PokerStars, with $7.5 million in prizes guaranteed to be paid out. The champion will receive at least $1 million in cash. All of this comes with a price tag of just $215.

One interesting thing to note about the 17th Anniversary Sunday Million is that the $7.5 million guaranteed prize pool is the lowest that PokerStars has put on this event in the last decade, with the previous year’s edition coming with a $10 million guarantee.
The 14th Anniversary Sunday Million, which was played amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, saw the operator offer a $12.25 million guarantee, which was still shattered by quite a margin as more than 90,000 players took to the felt, while the 15th Anniversary edition saw 70,000 entries.
And yet, even with a somewhat diminished guarantee, the 17th Anniversary Sunday Million should still be quite an affair, with the prize pool likely to reach over $10 million by the time all is said and done.
Players who do book a seat in the event, either directly or through satellites, will get 10,000 in tournament chips to compete in one of the best-structured events in online poker.
The tournament will stretch over three days, with levels starting at 20 minutes and going down to 15 minutes during Day 2 and Day 3 play, providing plenty of opportunity to wait it out and put all your skills to use.
While all other prizes will depend on the total prize pool in play, PokerStars guarantees at least $1,000,000 for the eventual champion, as they have done for the longest time in their Anniversary editions of Sunday Million.
