Super high stakes tournament specialist Masa Kagawa, 50, along with eight others, was arrested in Japan this week for allegedly illegally collecting over 37 million email addresses from roughly 810,000 Android users through the mass distribution of spam which contained malware.
Additionally, according to symantic,com, Kagawa’s company, Koei Planning, used those collected email address to drive traffic to a fake dating site, called Sakura, which then generated approximately $3.9 million from around December 2012 to April 2013.
Kagawa, also a well-known high stakes cash game regular, has over $1.5 million in live tournament earning according to the Hendon Mob and most recently took 3rd place in the 2013 Aussie Million $100k High Roller for a score of over $337,000.
