Sung Snags Second WSOP Bracelet in $25k 6-Max

It doesn’t get any tougher than this. While the $50K HORSE is considered the Poker Player’s Championship, the best and brightest in NLHE circled event #52, $25000 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Handed, as the biggest challenge of the summer.

In this tournament there were no soft spots as no easy decisions as 175 of the best live and online players batted for the $1.2 million first place prize. When the final table was set it featured bracelet winners Phil Galfond and Steve Sung, as well as the always dangerous Dani “Ansky” Stern and Richard Lyndaker plus online high-stakes player Max “Mikki696” Lehmanski and Stephen “stevie444” Chidwick, who has amassed over $3.5 million in online earnings himself.

In the end though, it was the two previous bracelet winners who battled heads-up to see who would earn their 2nd. This time, it would be Steve Sung who would win out, sending Galfond to the rail in 2nd with a healthy $744k+ payday for his efforts.

Sung’s $1.2MM marks the 7th million dollar prize of the summer, 5 of which came in the One Drop tournament, the other being Benny Chen's victory in the Millionaire Maker.
