It turns out that World No.2 ranked professional tennis star Andy Murray's thirst for competition extends beyond the tennis court. It was reported this week that as a present for his recent victory at the 2013 Wimbledon Championships, Murray’s uncle commissioned a hi-end custom poker table from Scottish craftsman Mike McCarron of McPoker Custom Poker Tables.
Murray’s table comes with the classic green felt look (hat tip to poker-red), and the champs name as the center piece brand.
Of course, Murray isn’t the only world class poker pro who is also a poker fan—2013 French Open Champion Rafa Nadal is currently sponsored by PokerStars. Who knows, maybe we’ll see Nadal and Murray playing HU4rolz! in the not too distant future.
