Grand Finales

Today brings the anticipation of awarding no less than three bracelets as big names jockey for position in the 44th Annual WSOP. A pair of No-Limit Final Tables will play to a winner while the Eight Game Mix plans to play through until hardware is awarded as well.

Event #6, The history making “Millionaire Maker” a $1500 No-Limit Hold’em tourney, resumes at 1PM PST for it’s extra day where online beast Dan “djk123” Kelly sits 2nd in chips behind chip leader Benny Chen. The conclusion to this event can be watched on the WSOP Live Stream, with a 30 minute delay, where someone will not just win a bracelet but will become an instant millionaire.

In the short time since the WSOP has been regularly offering the 1k weekend buyin events, there may not have been such a star packed Final Table. When Event #7, $1000 No-Limit Hold’em, resumes at 1PM PST, with a 10-handed Final Table, we’ll see the likes of Eric Baldwin, Brent Hanks, Jason Koon and Matt Waxman in pursuit of chip leader Amit Makhija for the money, over $300k, and the gold.

Only an hour after the start of the NLHE events, Event #8, $2500 Eight-Game Mix, picks back up where 20 runners plan to play down until a champion is crowned and the $225k 1st place is awarded. Plenty of notable players are still in the hunt including last year’s runner-up in this event, Greg Mueller, as well as Chris Tryba, Dario Alioto, Robert Mizrachi and current chip leader Marco Johnson.

Grinding It Out

Win and move on. Event #9, $3000 No-Limit Shootout starts back up today with 60 runners divided into 10 tables of 6. All they have to do is best the table to participate in tomorrow’s live streaming Final Table. That will prove to be a difficult task as there’s no safe place to hide with plenty of pros left in the field. The chips begin to fly at 1PM PST

Event #10, $1500 Limit Hold’em, also resumes for Day 2 today at 2PM PST. There are plenty of players to watch in this min-raiseament including Daniel and Ivey.
