Popular online poker news website PokerNews is currently removing their Full Tilt Poker advertising. Although some banner adverts still exist on the website, the outbound links that would normally include their affiliate tracking code now redirect to a special notice, which states:
Due to current circumstances surrounding Full Tilt Poker, we can no longer, in good faith, send our readers to play there. We would like to recommend a few other great rooms instead.
Many poker players receive their Full Tilt rakeback through PokerNews. It is unclear as of Friday if players will continue to receive rakeback payments. Early unconfirmed reports state that rakeback normally paid out today has not been received.
Tony Guorga, founder of PokerNews and lead pro of PartyPoker appeared on popular 24-hour poker news radio QuadJacks Thursday night and said they were “pulling the plug” and that he “wished he had done it weeks ago.”
PokerNews is one of the largest online poker media outlets, famous for their live reporting of WSOP and other live tournaments.
