GGPoker’s signature high-stakes special Super MILLION$ Week tournament series has returned for its fourth outing this month, with a much bigger schedule and double-sized guarantees.

The Super MILLION$ Week debuted back in March 2021 with 31 events and $30 million in guarantees held over a period of nine days. This time around, GGPoker will host a total of 72 high stakes events over two weeks, with a total prize pool of more than $40,000,000.

This makes it the largest Super MILLION$ Week festival since its inception and also the largest high-stakes series hosted on GGPoker.

The fourth Super MILLION$ Week launched on Sunday, January 23, and will end two weeks later, on February 6. Over this period, players will have a chance to take part in a variety of poker formats and events, with a $5,000,000 Guaranteed tournament being the flagship event of the Week.

In addition to this massive $10,300 buy-in event, the Week will include eighteen events with a guaranteed prize pool of more than $1,000,000, special bounty tournaments, and the biggest Freezeout tournament around with a $1,000,000 guarantee.

Poker fans and players will have a chance to watch the broadcast of the Super MILLION$ Main Event final table at GGPoker.TV on February 1, with players’ hole cards exposed and live commentary as the action goes on.

Compared to its previous two versions, the fourth iteration of the Super MILLION$ Week will be more than double in guarantees and $10 million larger than the inaugural series held in March 2021.

Enticing Schedule for the High-Rollers

Curiously, the original schedule had $20 million in guarantees across 42 high-stakes events and was slated to run just a week. The operator not only doubled the guarantees to $40 million but also nearly doubled the number of events.

The Main Event of the Week will feature a $5 million guarantee, with multiple Day 1 flights and opportunities for players to book their seat in Day 2 of this prestigious $10,300 buy-in event. The majority of all events will be played at Texas Hold’em tables, with a variety of formats such as bounty and deepstack offered every day of the Week.

Omaha players will also get plenty of opportunities to test their skills, with the massive Omaholic Bounty tournament featuring a $1 million guarantee and multiple Stage 1 flights, as well as several other PLO events along the way.

Finally, the Week will also include a $100k guaranteed Short Deck tournament with bounties, reserved for the high-rollers with its $5,250 buy-in fee.

GGPoker Brings Back APL to Cater to Asian Players

The Super MILLION$ Week is scheduled to end in the first week of February, but GGPoker has made sure to keep busy and announced plenty of tournament poker action next month.

The popular live tour Asia Poker League (APL) will be making a return on the virtual felt on GGPoker for the third time.

The online series is catered to Asian players who comprise a large portion of the GGPoker player pool. Although the tournaments are geared towards the Asian market with according starting times, players from all over the world can take part in the series.

The online series will feature CNY 80,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools worth approximately $12.8 million in USD. A total of 20 Jade Trophy Events will be held between January 30 and February 13.

The League’s Main Event will feature a CNY 1,888 buy-in and a CNY 10,000,000 prize pool (almost worth $1.6 million), giving players a chance at a huge first-place prize.

As seen previously, most trophy events on the schedule are named after cities in Asia, and local currencies are used for the entry and prize pools. This includes the Chinese Yuan (CNY), Vietnamese Dong (VKD), Philippine Peso (PHP), Korean Won (KRW), Taiwanese Dollar (TWD), and Japanese Yen (JPY).

Expect to hear more details about the GGPoker Asia Poker League and the Jade Trophies in the coming days, as the first events of the brand new live poker series in Asia begin to approach.
