On Tuesday, PokerStars released a statement announcing that CEO Gabi Campos has decided to resign effective February 1. Campos became a CEO in 2010 after leaving competitor 888 Poker in June of that year where he was the Managing Director for their B2B division Dragonfish.

The statement identified his interest to “pursue other opportunities” as the reason for leaving the job after less than two years. The company thanked Campos and has begun searching for his replacement.
