A new line-up of guaranteed tournaments, including a $2.22 buy-in $50k guarantee NL tournament and a $30k PLO tournament, has been announced by PokerStars. The kick-off for the new tournaments starts Saturday June 25th at 7am ET. The line-up includes seven tournaments with a combined guarantee of $350,000.
As a part of their kick-off promotion, PokerStars is offering a “no lose” deal to those that try one of the new tournament offerings. On June 25th only, if a player fails to cash in one of the newly offered tournaments, PokerStars will issue them a free buy-in ticket for the same event that may be used in subsequent weeks. Only one free ticket will be issued per player.
The stakes for the Saturday tournaments are smaller than their Sunday counterparts. The buy-ins range from $2.22 up to $50 as opposed to the larger buy-ins on Sunday that range from $11 up to $530.
Both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker have changed their start times for their Sunday guaranteed tournaments since Black Friday to accommodate the now higher percentage of European players. In addition, both sites have made reductions to their guarantees for their Sunday line-ups.
