The first event of 38 kicked off on Sunday. The tournament series runs from May 8-22 and boasts a $25,000,000 guaranteed prize pool that was adjusted down from the original $45,000,000 guarantee after PokerStars stopped serving US Players.
The schedule offers a wide variety of games from the popular formats like No limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha to the more exotic games such as Badugi, Triple Draw 2-7, Razz and various mixed game formats as well.
Each event actually consists of three tournaments with buy-ins in the low, medium, and high ranges. This offers players at all levels the opportunity to participate. Even satellites tournaments are offered starting at $0.25 or 100 FPPs.
