Key Takeaways
  • Casino and sports players are being moved to Jetbull.com.
  • Tower was previously an Ongame skin well-known for offering high rewards to grinders.
  • Tower moved to Revolution following the network crack-down on high rewards.

One time bonus powerhouse Tower Gaming announced to players Friday via email that it was closing down.

Poker players will be transitioned to Cake Poker, which resides on the the same network. Casino and sports players will be migrated to Jetbull.com.

TowerGaming was previously a popular online poker room on Ongame, courting many professional and high volume players with its aggressive promotions and tiered VIP system.

However, it moved to the Revolution Gaming Network (then the Cake Poker Network) in November 2011.

“After years of fun and excitement around the tables and more good times than we can remember, we’re stepping out of the game,” reads a statement posted on the Tower Gaming website Today.

“It’s become apparent to us that we’re no longer able to provide you with the level and quality of customer service we’d like to offer and you deserve.”

Jetbull has previous ties to Cake Poker; according to reports from 2010, Cake announced that Jetbull.com was planning to join the poker network. Today, however, it remains strictly an online casino and sportsbook. It operates under license from the LGA.

It operates with EveryMatrix and Oddsmatrix software, the same as Tower Gaming’s sportsbook and casino, so the actual change to player experience will be minimal.

Tower Gaming’s departure from Ongame coincided with the network’s introduction on the network-wide “Essense” rake attribution system, and the cracking down on high-rakeback skins.

Reports suggest that its move came after repeated requests from the network to stop offering such high rewards.
