Max Verstappen finally conquered the British GP for the first time in his career as he survived an early Lando Norris scare to regain the lead and pick up his sixth subsequent F1 victory.
It was a historic race in so many ways. Red Bull had not won at Silverstone since Mark Webber and 2012, no other team has ever equaled McLaren’s formidable record of 11 straight wins, and Max himself has never won six races on the spin.
We now have all the ingredients for another record-breaking race at Hungaroring, where Max Verstappen and his Oracle Red Bull Racing will be looking to make a history of their own by becoming the first team with 12 successive F1 wins. It’s an exciting time for F1 racing and a great opportunity to get in with some great Formula 1 betting at some of the top sportsbooks in the US.

Max has won 8 of 10 races this year and is as big a favorite as ever ahead of the 2023 Hungary Grand Prix. The flying Dutchman is chasing more records as he has already all but secured another Drivers Championships title. He won here last year, he looks unstoppable, and (more importantly) his car seems impeccable in 2023.
Unfortunately, sportsbooks also know this and have Max to win at -300 or shorter odds. We have found him at -300 with DraftKings. He has to be your call if you want to make a race-winner pick.
Lewis Hamilton — Well Worth Backing at Plus Odds
Lewis Hamilton made the podium on a home circuit for the 14th time in his career by finishing third at Silverstone. He is now fourth in the 2023 Drivers Standings, sitting just 16 points shy of Fernando Alonso in third place.
Knowing about Aston Martin’s sudden huge drop in the last two races, we would not be surprised to see the Briton overtaking the legendary Spaniard soon.
Hamilton knows how to win at Hungaroring. Mercedes has been decent in recent races, and we would be no surprised to see Lewis on the podium again. This pick is valued at the +125 odds with BetMGM Sportsbook US.

George Russell on the Podium at Sky-High +250 LIne
George Russell came fifth at the British GP. He is sixth in the overall standings, trailing his teammate Lewis Hamilton by almost 40 points.
There are no doubts Russell is highly motivated to prove his worth and show he possesses what it takes to compete with Hamilton for the top spot on the team. This is Lewis’ race, but Russell has also done very well last year in Budapest.
George took the pole position and finished third in the race, right behind his teammate last time out. We would by no means be surprised to see the same scenario in 2023 at Hungaroring. The price is more than attractive as Russell is +250 with FanDuel US to be among the top three drivers on July 23rd.
Bets to Avoid
The number one driver to avoid is Sergio Perez. He has been extremely inconsistent after winning two of the inaugural four races. Sergio has failed to make it to Q3 four times in a row.
This time, he missed advancing to the Q2 session at Silverstone after a red flag for Magnussen. He had to start 15th and was only able to climb to sixth place at the end of the race in the British GP. Knowing he is always the second favorite for the win at any race, the odds are just not worth it.
Now, as tempting as backing the red-hot McLarens seems to be, we would skip risking money on them to repeat the success of Silverstone. Let us wait and see whether Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri can at least make it two such races on the spin before rushing toward long shots.
Last but not least, we would also avoid Aston Martin’s drivers, who have been dreadful in the last two races.

All About Hungaroring
The circuit itself was built in 1985, located in the suburbs of Budapest, the Mogyorod village, to be more precise. Nelson Piquet was the inaugural winner at Hungaroring in 1986, overtaking Lotus’ Ayrton Senna in a race that hardcore F1 fans can still remember.
Due to the lack of straights, Hungaroring is often called a karting circuit by shape and characteristics. Chassis carry a much bigger importance in contrast to horsepower, and catching the right rhythm represents the key to success alongside a fast lap time in the qualifying sessions.
In terms of Hungary’s most successful drivers and constructors, Lewis Hamilton and McLaren have historically been the dominant force.
No other driver has conquered Hungaroring more times than Lewis Hamilton (8), and no other constructor has managed more wins than McLaren (11) there. Last year, the 190,531 miles long race was won by Max Verstappen. Two Mercedes’ completed the podium spots as Lewis Hamilton came second while George Russell took third place.
