It’s the last week of the Major League Soccer (MLS) regular season, and all the important questions have been answered regarding playoff placement.
Cincinnati FC and St. Louis City are the winners of their respective conferences and are serious candidates to go all the way and lift the MLS Cup later this year.

Charlotte vs. Inter Miami
Charlotte enters this match as the 12th-placed team in the Eastern Conference standings, but they still have a chance to make it to the 9th position and take part in the playoffs.
Christian Lattanzio’s side has struggled with defending throughout the campaign, conceding 52 goals in 33 matches while scoring 44. The top performer is the Polish striker Karol Swiderski, who found the back of the net twelve times this season.
As for the opposition, Inter Miami is unmotivated and winless in their last six matches across competitions, so we are backing Charlotte to win here.
New England Revolution vs. Philadelphia Union
Both teams have secured a Top 7 placement in the East, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see a slightly more relaxed approach and plenty of goals at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
Five of the last seven head-to-head encounters between these two sides ended with either three goals plus or both teams scoring. The New England Revolution has seen Over 3.5 Goals in three of their last five MLS games, so there is value in backing this option. Also, three of Philadelphia’s last four road duels were high-scoring affairs.
Colorado Rapids at Real Salt Lake
The hosts from Colorado are the biggest disappointment of the MLS 2023 season. They have grabbed only 27 points from 33 matches, sitting in the last 14th place in the Western Conference standings.
Efficiency has been a massive issue for Chris Little’s side, as they have bagged only 26 goals so far, which is the lowest of all MLS teams this season.
Real Salt Lake could benefit from a potential victory here. Their most recent performances on the road have been solid, beating Los Angeles 1-0 while also snatching a point off the LA Galaxy in a 2-2 draw. Cristian Arango has scored two goals in his last three away appearances.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Los Angeles FC
This is a clash between the Western Conference’s 2nd and 3rd best offenses. Vancouver’s matches have been extremely entertaining to watch this season, averaging 3.06 goals per duel. The Canadian side currently sits in 6th place on the table with 47 points, and they clinched a playoff berth a week ago.
Los Angeles has more to lose than the hosts on Saturday. They currently sit in 2nd position with 51 points, so anything but a win in Canada would allow Seattle Sounders to skip past the reigning MLS champions.
The most recent head-to-head encounter between these two sides was won by Vancouver Whitecaps 3-2 in June. We expect another high-scoring duel and the match to end with Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals.
