Irish Poker Open (IPO): March 27 to April 1, 2024

The Irish Poker Open (IPO) is renowned for its electric atmosphere, live entertainment, and general Irish craic and banter, and we’re going all out to make sure that next year is an even more spectacular festival. The Irish Poker Open (IPO) is the longest-running poker festival in Europe and is one of the world’s most prestigious live tours. It returns in 2024 at the Royal Dublin Society in Ballsbridge, Dublin, and will run from March 27 to April 1.

A €1 million is guaranteed, and a €1,150 buy-in main event starts on March 27.

New for 2024 is the NLH tournament with a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool — the largest guarantee for a €200 buy-in in Irish poker history.

Pot-Limit Omaha fans will also be thrilled to find two new Mystery Bounty PLO events added to the schedule.

“The Irish Poker Open (IPO) is renowned for its electric atmosphere, live entertainment, and general Irish craic and banter, and we’re going all out to make sure that next year is an even more spectacular festival,” said event organizers Paul O’Reilly and JP McCann.

PaddyPower runs the event with PokerStars and says the “Irish Poker Open is the greatest poker tournament Europe has ever witnessed.”

The full IPO schedule can be found here.

Online qualifiers are underway in the dot-com market as well an Ontario. 350 players will secure seats or packages to the Irish Open via the online qualifiers running.

“Last year, the Irish Open achieved record-breaking success, and much of that can be attributed to our remarkable partnership with PokerStars and Paddy Power,” O’Reilly went on the add via press release. “We are elated to welcome PokerStars Ontario into the fold, as we are well aware of the deep-rooted affection that Canadians have for the Irish Open. This event has truly become a part of their poker culture, and the introduction of online qualifiers through PokerStars Ontario will undoubtedly enable more Canadians to join us in Dublin and partake in this extraordinary experience.”
