Iowa Lottery Director Considers Offering Online Gaming

2015 is likely to be the earliest date for reconsideration of online poker legislation.

  • The Director of the Iowa Lottery has said that there are no immediate plans to offer online gaming, but that the Lottery is monitoring what other states are doing and is conducting “research and development.”
  • A 2012 bill which would have permitted interstate compacts and allow intrastate online poker passed the Senate, but failed in the House. In 2013 further attempt did not get past the Senate.

Full Tilt Casino to Expand With Slots Games

New deal with Leander Games will bring slots games to FullTiltPoker.com.

  • The new agreement with Leander is the first time Rational Group has partnered with a third party to provide additional content.
  • The press release issued by Leander earlier this week hinted only that its platform and “selected games” will launch on the FullTiltPoker.com website, slated for this spring.
  • “We are incredibly proud that Rational Group has recognised Leander as a strategic partner to move forward with on this incredible project,” stated Leander CEO Steven Matsell in the PR.
