Jackie Glazier Takes First WSOPE Bracelet
First bracelet of the 2013 WSOPE and first bracelet for Jackie Glazier.
- Jackie Glazier has won the €1.1k WSOPE Ladies only event.
- Her first bracelet follows a 31st place finish in this year’s WSOP Main Event, and a 2nd place finish in last year’s $3k WSOP event which won her $459k.
- Glazier left Ivey Poker to become an 888 Team Pro in July.
Prague to Host Competing Poker Series this December
Overlapping schedules at EPT Prague and Prague Poker Festival.
- In previous years organizers of the Prague Poker Festival and the European Poker Tour have worked together to coordinate efforts under a single roof. This year that is not the case.
- The Prague Poker Festival will run from December 5-22 at the Card Casino.
- The European Poker Tour will take place 5km away at the Hilton Prague Hotel from December 8-18.
PokerStars, Full Tilt Leave Skrill Loyalty Program
Fee-free withdrawals may be motive for Rational Group decision.
- Rational Group has decided to opt-out of the “loyalty points” program offered by several third-party payment processors, in accordance with our contracts with those payment processors.”
- The list of excluded merchants now stands at 139, including many of the biggest online poker rooms.
PPA Seeks Answers from GCG on Players’ Behalf
In a letter dated October 10, 2013, John Pappas, the Executive Director of the Poker Players Alliance, requested answers from the Garden City Group to many questions that have arisen as US victims of the Full Tilt Poker debacle file petitions to be reimbursed.

- The most common questions highlighted by the PPA were those surrounding the exclusion of “affiliates” from the remission process.
- The GCG modified its standing on affiliates late last week.
- In total, the PPA raised 14 questions on issues that have been encountered in the player community including the documentation required for missing payments, amending previously filed petitions and claiming non-monetary items such as FTP points.
World Series of Poker Europe In Full Swing
On-the-felt action is underway at the 7th Annual World Series of Poker Europe. This weekend the first of eight bracelets was awarded, while another well-attended bracelet event is headed to an exciting finish.
