Lock Poker Removes Sponsored Pros From Website
Embattled US facing online poker site Lock Poker removed all traces of sponsored pros from its website earlier this month. Supplementary homepage graphics featuring Lock Pros have disappeared, and the once prominent “Lock Pros” tab is gone as well.

WPT Alpha8 Scheduled for Fox Sports TV
Last August’s first ever WPT Alpha8 will get four hours of coverage starting March 16.
- The $100k buy in exclusive World Poker Tour (WPT) Alpha8 tournament series will be premiered on Fox Sports on Sunday, March 16.
- The first show covers the first ever WPT Alpha8 which was held at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Florida.
- All will be televised with four hours of coverage devoted to each program. Ali Nejad and Olivier Busquet will provide the expert commentary.
The 2014 Aussie Millions is Only Days Away
20 events running from Jan 23 to Feb 10 include the APPT Main Event and a $250k Super High Roller.
- The 2014 Aussie Millions starts on January 23 with a schedule of 20 events running until February 10.
- This year the $10.6k Main Event will be part of the PokerStars Asian Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) following a deal announced in November.
- A $25k two day event starts on the same day as the Main Event, and is followed on February 7 by a $100k High Roller.
- The highest buy in is reserved for the $250k Super High Roller which was won last year by Sam Trickett.
