iPoker’s New Mobile HTML5 Client Rolls Out to Select Skins

European Poker Tour Player of the Year to be Decided by Global Poker Index
The European Poker Tour (EPT) has announced that its Player of the Year award will be determined by the number of points accumulated under the Global Poker Index (GPI) rating system, beginning with the kickoff of Season 10 in Barcelona.
- The player that wins POY will receive €50,000 to enter the main event of any poker tour held around the world that is operated by Rational Group.
- The GPI scoring formula awards points in EPT tournaments with at least 24 entrants that are open to all players.
- Players can also earn points toward POY in local poker festivals that are held in conjunction with EPT events such as the Estrellas Poker Tour which provided preliminary action prior to the EPT Main Event in Barcelona.
Winamax Signs November Niner Sylvain Loosli
The top French site Winamax has added Frenchman Sylvain Loosli to Team Winamax. Loosli has the sixth largest chip stack of the nine players who are due to reconvene in November to play out the WSOP Main Event Final Table.

Vitaly Lunkin Wins EPT Barcelona €50K Super High Roller
The European Poker Tour Barcelona (EPT) €50,000 Super High Roller came to a conclusion over the Labor Day weekend and it was Russian professional poker player Vitaly Lunkin who claimed the trophy, Shamballa Jewels bracelet and €771,300 first place prize.
- The high priced event drew 40 of the games biggest names for a total of 51 entries, thanks to 11 rebuys, generating a healthy prize pool of nearly €2,500,000.
- Lunkin defeated Eric “Seiborg” Seidel heads up to win the €771,300 first place prize.

In the clip, Gill moves all in on the turn with top two pair and talks his opponent into calling with just top pair. Gill even correctly identifies his opponents’ hand before it was shown—“All you need is a queen,” he said, putting his opponent correctly on AQ. I’m sure you can guess the rest.

Greek OPAP Report Justifies State Monopoly
OPAP profits collapse but the re-establishment of its monopoly position will aid recovery in the second half of the year. Net profits at Greek gaming monopoly OPAP fell 73.9% compared to the first half of last year, according to its latest financial report. The collapse is attributed to the economic crisis in Greece and to a 30% tax rate introduced in January this year.
Bulgaria Adds Redbet, Nine More Domains to Blacklist
Redbet.com heads a list of poker, casino and bingo domains which will now be blocked by Bulgarian ISPs. Another ten domains have been blacklisted by the Bulgarian State Gambling Commission (SGC). The SGC’s enthusiasm for expanding the list has not been diminished by the appointment of a new Chairman early last month.
