HM2 Adds Tracker, HUD Support for WSOP and 888 in New Jersey
Top three networks in New Jersey now have HUD support.
- Holdem Manager has added first-class support for online poker rooms WSOP New Jersey and 888poker.
- Hands are now imported into the tracking database, and a Heads Up Display (HUD) for these sites is also supported.
- The software team previously added support partypoker and Borgata, two skins on the partypoker New Jersey network.
GTECH Manages Orderly Shutdown of Dot-com Poker Network
The Bad Beat Jackpot is being distributed in freerolls, as the International Poker Network (IPN), aka Boss Media/SPIELO G2, prepares for May shutdown.
- As GTECH gets closer to closing its dot-com “International Poker Network” (IPN), it has closed its bad beat jackpot promotion.
- The funds in the existing jackpot prize pool will be distributed via a series of freeroll tournaments.
- The network will close in May and the shutdown is being handled in as orderly a manner as possible.
Online Poker from Greece’s OPAP Will Have to Wait for Sportsbetting Development
Within a few years OPAP may well be the sole licensed provider of online poker in Greece.
- The announcement in the annual report suggests that online poker won’t be provided by OPAP until after sportsbetting has been developed. OPAP’s semi-monopoly has been granted until 2030, long after the “temporary” licenses for other operators are due to expire.
- Short a successful legal challenge in the EU courts, in a few years’ time OPAP will be the monopoly poker provider in Greece.
World Series of Poker Announces Freerolls for the WSOP National Championship
Players can gain free entry into the closed-registration tourney through tournaments on WSOP’s New Jersey and Nevada online poker rooms.
- Five seats into the WSOP National Championship event will be awarded via freeroll tournaments both live and online with a sixth at-large seat awarded via a “last chance” $1,125 buyin tournament.
- The WSOP National Championship event will take place May 22-24, 2014 in the new WSOP-branded poker room at Bally’s in Atlantic City New Jersey, and the final table will be covered by ESPN on Saturday, May 24 over Memorial Day Weekend.
