New Jersey Online Gaming Soft Launch Will Start with 8-Hour Tests
Soft-launch period “may be extended” beyond the five days if necessary.
- Soft-launch will start with 8-hour windows on the 21st and 22nd.
- Players interested in helping test the system should pick an operator and sign up to pre-launch mailing lists, as the process is invite-only.
Final Days for Players to File for Full Tilt Remissions
Players have until November 16 to file a claim to recoup their Full Tilt Poker balances.
- This Saturday, November 16, is the final day that the GCG will be allowing players to submit a petition for remission.
- As a result of a recent announcement, FTP affiliates are eligible to recover a portion of their balances, but a deadline for their petitions has not yet been set.
PokerStars, Full Tilt Pledge Relief in Phillipines
PokerStars, the world largest online poker site, has launched efforts to help raise funds to assist those in the Philippines effected by the devastation caused by Super Typhoon Haiyan, one of the largest recorded storms in history.
- Players can donate by joining special “dummy tournaments” where no poker is played, but the buyins will be added to the Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund.
- Players can also make a donation by way of a real-money player transfer to the designated Player ID of “Typhoon Fund” in the PokerStars Cashier.
- All funds collected by the “dummy tournaments” and direct player transfers will be matched by PokerStars.
- The Rational Group, the parent company for both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, will also be making measures for direct donations available on Full Tilt Poker in a matter of days.
Heads Up Zoom Coming to PokerStars Next Month
One strand of the strategy to solve problems at HU tables is to use the fast fold poker player pools to randomize HU opponents.
- PokerStars will launch HU Zoom next month.
- Further heads up changes won’t come until some time in 2014.
