Caesars Receives New Jersey Online Gaming Permits

Seven casinos now approved for online gaming in the state.

  • Caesars has received permits for all four of its casinos in New Jersey, allowing it to offer online gaming in the state a day ahead of the scheduled “soft launch.”
  • 888 will operate its own online gaming offerings—including its own-branded poker room—in conjunction with Caesars.
  • Wynn is also tipped to offer online games through Caesars and join 888’s {All American Poker Network, although this partnership has yet to receive a transactional waiver.
  • Online gaming is scheduled to officially open next Tuesday, November 26.

GCG Update: Late Petitions for US Full Tilt Funds Will Still be Considered

The November 16 window for petitions has closed, but the claims administrator may still accept late filings.

  • Even though the closing date for submitting petitions to the GCG has closed, a new update to their FAQs says that late petitions may still be considered.

Paddy Power Goes Cold on New Jersey iGaming

Irish bookmaker will not participate in New Jersey launch, citing concerns over big-brand competition and “gray play.”

  • Paddy Power has applied for a license in New Jersey, and earlier this month the New Jersey DGE announced that is was eligible for a transactional waiver, but it has not formed a partnership with an AC casino.
  • “We see a highly competitive B2C landscape, and a lot of strong US brands launching.”

New Jersey State Senator to Announce Plans to Expand Internet Gambling

In a press conference scheduled for Thursday, Raymond Lesniak is expected to announce plans to introduce a bill that would expand New Jersey online gaming beyond its borders.

  • New Jersey State Senator Raymond Lesniak plans to announce “a major new initiative to expand Internet gaming.”
  • It is believed that he will introduce a bill to allow New Jersey licensed operators to accept foreign gamblers from other regulated jurisdictions.

Jim McDermott (D-WA) that would establish a 12% tax on deposits to internet gaming sites has been given a “0% chance” of making it out of committee by US legislative tracking website Govtrack.US.
