This week the granddaddy of poker podcasts – the 2+2 PokerCast – took a rare week off, while some of the other regular producers have not released new shows in quite some time. The guys over at Deuces Cracked haven’t released an episode of their wacky podcast Hey Ball this year, but Chuck has promised to deliver an episode before the Super Bowl. If you’ve been looking to get your strategy fix from the Tournament Edge poker podcast then you’ve been waiting over a month. Hopefully we will see more content coming from these guys soon.
I recommend listening to the latest episode on Filthy Limper Radio. It originally piqued my interest with the announcement that former poker podcast partners Bryan “The Icon” Micon and Todd “DanDruff” Wittelles were going to be on the show. I have to admit, I was hoping for a juicy confrontation but they weren’t on together.
Kevin “Kevmath” Mathers checked in from Australia and provided some interesting titbits on how Crown Casino in Melbourne differs from American Casinos with regards to responsible gambling. Then the guys bat around some ideas on what prompted the recent lawsuit against UB which continues when Wittelles joins them later on in the show.

Strategy with Kristy was up next up. This week Kristy talked with three time WCOOP bracelet winner, Ryan “g0lfa” D’Angelo. Though the strategy was not so hardcore that I needed to re-listen to it several times to grasp the content, Kristy did probe deeper in spots and provided some thought-provoking insights. I enjoyed the show and will dig back through the archives to look for some guests I may enjoy.

I conclude my poker podcast reviews this week with The Rabbit Hunt. Mark and Matt are always a solid choice. This week they started things off with discussion of Phil Galfond’s recent blog post, where he provided his readers with his views on how online poker players are hurting the game. They also speculated on the motivation behind the UB law suit and they wrapped things up with discussion on Ira Rubin’s guilty plea related to the Black Friday indictments.
That’s all for this week. As usual, feel free to leave your own reviews, rip on mine, or suggest other poker podcasts for my listening pleasure.
