The WSOP-C Montreal festival is just a few days away from kicking off, and time is running out if you’re hoping to win your Main Event seat online.
GGPoker, the exclusive online satellite partner of the WSOP, is offering online qualifiers specifically for Canadian players on both its global and GGPoker Ontario platforms. Buy-ins begin at only C$1, and even those with a zero account balance can participate through daily freerolls to earn their way into the Main Event.
So far, 125 players have already secured their C$2,500 Main Event seats and will soon make their way to Playground in Montreal.
We have said it before and we will say it again — these online qualifiers remain among the best ways to turn a small investment into a massive payday. In the previous August edition, at least three online qualifiers reached the Main Event final table, with one of them ultimately capturing the title and a C$446k top prize.

WSOP-C Montreal Circuit Returns for Third Time
This upcoming Montreal festival is one poker event you don’t want to miss. It runs from November 3 to 18 at Playground, the venue that recently won “Best Poker Room” at the Global Poker Awards. Located in Kahnawake, just outside Montreal, Quebec, Playground continues to serve as a premier stop for major poker events.
The WSOP’s decision to return for the third time this year highlights how successful this Circuit stop has been. The August edition drew over 11,000 total entries and distributed more than C$9.6 million in prizes. The Main Event alone generated nearly C$4.5 million, representing almost half of the overall prize pool.
This time, organizers have raised the bar, guaranteeing a minimum of C$6 million in total prizes, a notable boost from the C$5 million guarantee offered in August.
The November schedule includes 18 gold ring events, with buy-ins ranging from C$400 to C$5,000. Each tournament awards a prestigious WSOP gold ring, and every ring winner will also receive a $5,000 package for the 2025 WSOP Paradise event in the Bahamas.
In addition, WSOP-C Montreal will feature a WSOP Paradise 2025 Super Main Event satellite (running from November 16 – 17) with a C$4,000 buy-in, awarding at least four packages valued at $30,000 each.
Every package includes a seat in the $26K Super Main Event boasting a record-breaking $60 million guarantee, nine nights’ stay at Atlantis Royal, Bubble Protection (refund of the full buy-in if eliminated on the bubble), exclusive GGPoker Paradise merchandise, and access to a private player’s lounge.
The ring event lineup includes multiple C$400 tournaments, several C$1,000 events, and a C$5,000 Mega Stack High Roller for those seeking bigger stakes. While the majority of tournaments are No Limit Hold’em, a few Pot Limit Omaha events are also on the schedule.
The Main Event once again comes with a C$2,500 buy-in and a C$2.5 million guarantee. In August, the same event attracted 1,978 entries and created a prize pool of C$4,450,500 (over $3.2 million USD). Hundreds of those seats were earned through satellites on both GGPoker and GGPoker Ontario.
Ontario’s own Jacob Hobday emerged victorious in that edition, winning C$446,400 and his second WSOP Circuit gold ring after qualifying through a C$75 satellite on GGPoker. His triumph also earned him a $5,000 WSOP Paradise package, a perfect example of the incredible value these qualifiers provide.
Final Chance to Win Seats to WSOP-C Montreal
Now, players once again have the opportunity to follow in Hobday’s footsteps. Each day, several seats to the C$2,500 Main Event are being awarded through online qualifiers.
Ontario players can enter via two direct satellite options priced at C$75 and C$250. The C$250 satellite runs daily, awarding between two and four Main Event seats. Players outside Ontario can join a C$75 qualifier, which guarantees one seat to the C$2,500 Main Event.
For those looking for cheaper ways in, sub-qualifiers are available from as low as C$1 or C$3 (depending on location), which progress into C$10 or C$25 qualifiers and then up to the C$250 direct satellite.
From time to time, GGPoker also offers freerolls leading into the C$3 step qualifiers for Ontario-based players.
At present, nearly 100 Main Event seats have been won through GGPoker Ontario, while another 25 have been claimed by Canadian players outside the province via GGPoker’s global platform. That brings the total to 125 confirmed entrants, so if you haven’t locked in your seat yet, don’t miss your chance to be part of the action.
