On December 15, 2021, Rush Street Interactive, Inc. (RSI) announced the signing of TV personality Brittney Payton as a brand ambassador for Arizona and Illinois. The deal includes an exclusive brand and content deal for the RSI-owned brands BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com, both of which are online sports betting and online casino game platforms that operate in several regulated US states.

Parent company RSI is based in Chicago and the deal with the city’s native follows the betting and gaming company’s trend of creating partnerships with well-known local sports teams and widely popular celebrities. Payton is the daughter of Walter Payton, a former running back for the Chicago Bears, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time.

Payton moved to Arizona in 2020 and will be directly involved in the creation of sports betting content for the brand in both states going forward. She is also set to appear during exclusive shows on BetRivers TV and will represent BetRivers during radio commercials, podcasts, and social media interviews.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the BetRivers team,” said Payton in the official press release on PR Newswire. “It will be fun to bring a pop culture spin to sports entertainment and gaming. It’s especially exciting to be interacting with RSI’s sports betting fans in my native state of Illinois and in Arizona. which I now call home.”

This new partnership is the latest example of a regulated American online gambling company jumping on the current industry-wide trend of gaming brands establishing firm bonds with local sports teams and legends as a core priority.

BetRivers already entered a multi-year partnership as an Official Betting Partner of the NBA team Detroit Pistons in January 2021. Likewise, the Chicago-based gaming operator RSI also became the Official Sportsbook Partner of the Chicago Bears NFL franchise in June 2021 as well. For both major sports brands, fans can win prizes and experiences while taking advantage of the casino and sports betting platform.

A multitude of Exclusive Christmas promotions on BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse

The latest ambassador announcement came one day after BetRivers launched the $50,000 12 days of Holidays casino promotion, which runs from December 14 until December 25. It is available in four of the 12 states in which RSI is available including Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

Customers can earn iRush Rewards Loyalty Points based on wagering real money on casino games. By doing so, BetRivers customers can also unlock additional holiday presents such as bonus money, bonus store points, or tree ornaments. The top 300 finishers will earn their share of the prize money worth at least $50 and up to $500.

BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse will also unleash another casino promotion in these four states after Christmas Eve called “King Cash’s New Year’s Bash Drawing”. Between December 26 and 31, customers can earn up to ten entries daily into a randomized prize drawing by betting on qualifying casino games. Bonus money amounts of up to $2,022 will be up for grabs.

And since it is the season of the giving, both brands are giving away further goodies to customers with active accounts. From December 25 until January 2, 2022, random prizes will be issued to patrons when accessing their accounts. These vary from free sports bets, scratch cards, wheel spins, and profit boosts for sports betting wagers.
