Internet gaming consultant Scarlet Robinson has joined Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) as its Director of New Markets.

Robinson will focus on expanding CIE’s operation to US states as internet gaming regulation proliferates across the country.

“I am truly pleased to have the opportunity to be working with Mitch Garber, Geoff Stewart, and the entire team at Caesars Interactive Entertainment and WSOP,” Robinson stated. “As a recreational poker player, I’m thrilled to be a part of WSOP.com.”

Based in Las Vegas, Robinson will report to Geoff Stewart, SVP and GM of Online Poker, a direct report to CEO Mitch Garber. She will be in charge of coordinating product rollouts in each state. Her responsibilities will also include managing the interaction between CIE and external stakeholders such as gaming regulators and service providers. Internally, Robinson will coordinate efforts with technology, marketing and legal teams.

Her recent experience includes roles as Director of Interactive Services for The Innovation Group, lead technical advisor for the launch of the online sales arm of the Illinois Lottery and consultant for Washington DC lottery online program (which was eventually repealed by lawmakers).

Robinson has been an advocate for change in the poker community contributing information via social and other media outlets.

“The US poker community inspired me to take what I learned from my technology career and apply it to iGaming. Since Black Friday, I’ve wanted nothing more than to play some role to help rebuild the online gaming system in the US. I hope I can do poker proud.”
