Global Poker Index, the latest acquisition of Alex Dreyfus’ Zokay Entertainment, announced Wednesday its most recent product launch, The Quarterly Industry Report.

Using the data collected in GPI’s database of live poker tournaments, the report provides aggregate data on worldwide poker tournaments, with global and regional analysis of where tournament dollars were spent and identifies where and how the market is expanding.

The first edition of the report is available for free on globalpokerindex.com. Future reports will be sold at an undisclosed amount following a free trial period starting in August 2013.

In late 2012, Zokay Entertainment purchased the Global Poker Index (GPI) from Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. The patent-pending tournament poker ranking system was originally part of Federated Sports and Gaming, parent company of the defunct Epic Poker league.

The Global Poker Index ranks poker players based on their results from live poker tournaments worldwide. Its database contains over 12,000 poker tournaments, covering major series like the WSOP, EPT and WPT as well as smaller regional events.

Its database is also used to fuel Fantasy Poker Manager, another recent Dreyfus project.

According to the press release, future editions of the Quarterly Poker Industry Report will provide “detailed analysis on topics such as tour operations in the US and Europe, activity at different venues across the globe, and analysis of the largest markets in the US and Europe.”
