PPA Calls for Proceeds of Fines and Seizures to be Used to Pay Players

In a statement issued regarding the amended civil complaint lodged against members of Full Tilt Poker, the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) called on the US Department of Justice to “certify that the proceeds of any settlement or seizure [...] will first be dedicated to reimbursing players.”

In its statement the PPA has also called upon FTP and its owners to “take all available steps to ensure the prompt payment of players as their first priority.”

Lederer and Ferguson – two of the “Insider Defendants” specifically accused in the amended civil complaint of defrauding players out of hundreds of millions of dollars – are former PPA board members. They resigned in May following the events of Black Friday.
