Fantasy Poker Manager, World Poker Tour Strike Cross-Promotional Deal
Key Takeaways
  • Three year deal as exclusive “fantasy poker game” for the WPT.
  • Two brands will cross-promote on social media and web.

Fantasy Poker Manager (FPM), the new free social game that marries fantasy sports with live poker tournaments, and World Poker Tour (WPT) announced earlier this week an exclusive three year deal to promote each other’s brands.

FPM will become the “official fantasy poker game” of the poker tour and will ensure that all 20+ WPT events annually will be featured on the fantasy draft.

The WPT brand will be promoted on Fantasy’s facebook app, and FPM will be promoted through WPT’s “full suite of online tools and social properties.”

Alex Dreyfus’ Zokay Entertainment unveiled its new free-play fantasy poker game in January 2013. Players can select a “team” of poker professionals by spending a virtual budget. Players then earn points based on how their drafted players perform in live tournaments and compete in leader boards.

Along with WPT events, all events in the WSOP and EPT series are covered, as well as certain smaller events throughout the year.

The World Poker Tour is one of the largest and longest running poker tours in the world, hosting over 20 tournament series each year, predominantly in North America and Europe. It was acquired by bwin.party in 2009.
