WSOP.com in Nevada has surpassed the combination of partypoker and Borgata in New Jersey to become the largest online poker site regulated in the US.

With a 7-day moving average of 144 cash game players, WSOP.com NV has moved into the top spot ahead of the 141 cash game seats filled on the partypoker network in New Jersey according to data provided by PokerScout to pokerfuse PRO.

The steady rise in traffic for the Nevada site began in mid-May as cash game traffic rose from an average in the mid-nineties to a 7-day average of 111 just before the World Series of Poker kicked off in Las Vegas.

Impact of Summer Series

Since the series has begun, traffic has continued to climb, clocking in at its all-time highest peak of 144, and surpassing its previous high of 135 achieved in early November last year.

Expectations for the WSOP.com NV have been high for the summer series due to the sheer number of poker players expected to descend up Las Vegas.

The announcement by tournament organizers that a “grind room” would be available for players to play online while attending the World Series of Poker, in addition to on-site cage deposits, also led to increased expectations for the online poker room.

Promotional efforts by WSOP.com have contributed to the success of both its Nevada and New Jersey.

Since the start of the Online Championship Series earlier this month, WSOP.com NJ has outperformed the rest of the New Jersey market.
