The Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is one of the most popular online poker tournament series, and players look forward to it every year. PokerStars has finally released details for the 2023 edition of SCOOP, giving everyone enough time to prepare for the grind.
The series will take place May 7 -31, featuring $75,000,000 in guarantees. There are 363 tournaments on the schedule, traditionally split between three buy-in orbits: Low, Medium, and High. PokerStars also offers over $300,000 in added value through SCOOP Fast Track, just one of many paths players can use to qualify for the upcoming series.
The range of buy-ins is as wide as possible, with the cheapest tournaments available for as little as $2.20. Conversely, professionals and those with big bankrolls can participate in events featuring buy-ins up to $25,000.

Six Main Events & Three Ladies Tournaments on the Docket
While plenty of action will be had over the three weeks, the Main Events always steal the show at any poker tournament series. In this year’s SCOOP, there are six Mains in total, all taking place on May 28 and catering to NLHE and PLO players alike.

Last year, PokerStars also introduced women’s events to the SCOOP schedule, and these turned out very popular across the board, so the operator is bringing them back for the 2023 edition. Three tournaments will feature buy-ins of $5.50, $22, and $109, and a combined prize pool of at least $34,000.
More Tournaments & More Variety
While this year’s SCOOP has retained the same overall guarantee from 2022, the schedule is richer with 45 events overall, representing an increase of 14% compared to the last year’s edition.
As usual, SCOOP features different game types and variations. There are plenty of classic freezeouts, KO events, and over a dozen non-Hold’em tournaments to look forward to. These include PLO, HORSE, 2-7 Triple Draw, Stud, Razz, Five-Card PLO, and even Badugi, which is an excellent opportunity to put in some practice for the first-ever Badugi bracelet event this summer.
For this year, PokerStars has also moved around some starting times, creating more opportunities for players to get involved. Namely, several events are starting at 12:05 CET. These are open to everyone, of course, but cater primarily to those who cannot spend the nights playing poker, allowing them to wrap things up earlier and catch some sleep even after an intense run.

Satellite Your Way into the 2023 SCOOP
As mentioned, there are different ways you can win your way into SCOOP events without breaking the bank. Every year, PokerStars runs numerous qualifiers and other promotions revolving around the series, and 2023 is no different.
The SCOOP Fast Track allows you to win entries into the Main Events on May 29. These feature a familiar step structure, with the first step starting as low as $1.50. Players need to progress through four stages to win the tickets.
