The operator is gearing up for the first of its four Major series for the year, the Spring Festival, with the Warm Up Festival kicking off on April 19 and lasting until April 28. WPT Global Warm Up Festival Highlights
The Warm Up Festival is taking place April 19 — 28 and offers a good mix of events in both No Limit Hold’em and Short Deck, two most popular variations on the app.
The Main Event comes with a big promise of $300,000 and a buy-in of $220. There will be 17 starting flights in total, which means that players will have many opportunities to secure their seats on Day 2, which takes place on April 28.
For those with smaller bankrolls, the Mini version of the Main Event comes with a buy-in of just $22 and a rather hefty guarantee of $80,000. For this one, there will be 14 starting flights, and the final day action takes place on April 27.
The final weekend of the Warm Up Festival will feature some more excitement, with the $2,100 High Roller PKO event featuring a $200,000 guarantee and a $110 Crazy Sunday PKO with at least $100,000 up for grabs.
Of course, there will be many opportunities to satellite your way into higher buy-in events as well. Qualifiers start at the $5 level, so it is possible to pick up a fair few tickets at a serious discount.
To the Victors Go the Spoils
As if winning tournaments weren’t enough, WPT Global has prepared special rewards for all Warm Up Festival event winners. First of all, every time you win a tournament, in addition to the prize money, you’ll also receive double the value of the event buy-in in tickets for the upcoming Spring Festival.
All event winners will also receive a free entry into a Champion of Champions tournament. The ultimate champion will receive a $12,400 package for the Spring Festival, while the runner-up and the third-place finisher will get $1,000 worth of Spring Festival tickets each.
If you make it to the final table of any Warm Up events but can’t quite close the deal, you’ll still qualify for the Second Chance Freeroll. The winner of this one will receive all of their Warm Up Festival buy-ins back (up to $5,000), with a minimum guarantee of $1,000. The second and third place get $500 in Spring Festival tickets.
