Minted Poker Clarifies Everleaf's Controversial Winning Player Restrictions

According to Minted Poker, one of the primary brands on Everleaf Gaming, the recent move by the network to impose a restriction on winning players was prompted by “a small number of pro players which were cannibalizing the weak players,” not due to the processing of US cashouts as some speculated.

As reported on pokerfuse earlier this week, players who win more than €750 on Everleaf tables during a seven day period will be restricted by what tables they can join until the next week. Furthermore, other players will be warned if they try to join a table with winning players.

A representative of Minted Poker has clarified with pokerfuse that, although cash game winnings from both USD and EUR tables are considered when defining a “winner,” only the euro tables up to 3/6 will be restricted.

“Players that have won €750 are effectively moved away from the regular player pool and placed in their own specific pool,” pokerfuse was told. “All USD tables and those of 4/8 and above on the Euro side” will be the same, but for the lower stakes Euro games, “[winning players] will then only see each other.”

These restrictions go even further to separate the Euro from the US tables. An ongoing promotion to cap the rake at all USD cash tables to $1 has been heralded by one of the industry’s most favorable rake offers; meanwhile, the Euro tables, with rake caps at €4 and beyond, are some of the highest rakes around. According to Minted Poker, the $1 rake cap promo may continue in to January.
