“Poker commentary is horrible”: Jared Bleznick is not afraid to say what’s on his mind, especially when there’s a microphone nearby.
His commentary during this year’s WSOP 2026 livestreams stirred up some debate, particularly when he dismissed coverage of the Seniors High Roller event mid-broadcast. Some fans were not amused.
Bleznick defended his approach on the Late Reg podcast, saying, “Poker commentary is horrible, okay?” He insisted that most commentators focus too much on the technical side of poker and not enough on keeping things lively. According to Bleznick, drawing in new viewers means making the game entertaining, not just educational.
The conversation with Brian Rast and Phil Laak also touched on Nick Schulman, who Bleznick acknowledges is the best in the business. Still, Bleznick suggests that even Schulman is not pulling in the amateur audience. It seems Bleznick is happy to be the loud voice in the booth, even if it means a few more angry tweets.
