- Thursday night, poker celebrities, sports stars and New York philanthropists gathered on the 36th floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York for the World Poker Tour (WPT) Foundation’s annual “All In” For Kids Charity Poker Tournament.
iPoker Consolidates Game Choices, Eliminates USD Tables
Stake levels and table types will be reduced along with the elimination of US dollars at iPoker tables.

Austrian gambling law lacks consistency; raising tax revenue not a justifiable reason for restrictions, UK AG opines. Eleanor Sharpston QC, The UK Advocate General (UK AG) at the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), has written an opinion that member states must justify gaming laws and ensure that such laws are consistent rather than arbitrary.

A weekly review of the online poker market: This week, Full Tilt, France and SealsWithClubs. A welcome 3.3% rise in cash game traffic made this a very good week for the whole market. PokerStars Italy topped the gainers up 7.8% with Winamax only 1% behind. Full Tilt Poker’s week saw it recover second place in the cash game traffic rankings with a 7.1% gain—not obtained at the expense of sibling PokerStars, which enjoyed its own increase of over 4%.
