- Speculation that “Runner Runner” could spawn a sequel to the 1998 film “Rounders” has started.
- Prospects depend on the financial success of Runner Runner which has taken a fair but not explosive $30m at the Box Office.
- Rounders, along with Chris MoneyMaker’s WSOP Main Event win in 2003 were contributing factors in the creation of the US poker boom.

DeepStacks Poker Tour Inks 3-Year Deal in Malta
The DeepStacks Poker Tour (DSPT) announced that it has inked a three-year deal with the Dragonara Casino to bring the DSPT to the Mediterranean country of Malta through 2016.
- The first event, the DSPT-Malta is set to take place in November of 2014.
- The event will coincide with the launch of the Dragonara’s casino expansion which will provide a brand new poker venue.
- The DSPT cites itself as the fastest growing tournament circuit in the world as they continue to expand internationally.
- DeepStacks also introduced a new trophy for the victor of all main events, high rollers and side events.
